We are recruiting for a full or part-time Legal Document Automation Specialist to work on automating legal documents and forms. The work involves creating new interactive forms and maintaining our extensive product inventory. For examples of our product inventory see: http://www.smartlegalforms.com and http://www.smartwillforms.com . Other development opportunities may include creating legal web advisors, legal check-ups, and automated legal advice bots.
We use our web-based technologies to increase access to the legal system and to create alternative methods of solving legal problems designed to make legal services more affordable.

Desired qualifications include: experience in programming HOTDOCS®or a similar document automation application, experience creating and editing fillable PDFs with Adobe Acrobat, demonstrated technical writing skills, capacity to translate legal terms into layman’s language, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a legal background either as an attorney, law student, or a paralegal. Extreme attention to detail is essential.
We are based in the Baltimore-Washington area and in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; however, we are a de-centralized and web-based organization. In this position, the successful candidate can work from a home office anywhere in the United States. Therefore, you must be a self-starter and can work autonomously.
You must have the capacity to work both as a member of a web-based team of professionals and the ability to handle stressful situations with poise plus a commitment to changing the way legal services are delivered.
